It’s all About YOU

Maybe you have been pondering the concept of leaving a legacy? Perhaps you are considering forming a family foundation?  Possibly you might be thinking about setting up a scholarship fund?  Probably, you have the desire to somehow use your financial resources to benefit others in the longer term, but you need some assistance with making that happen.

So, how can a community foundation, and more specifically, the Farmington Area Community Foundation be of service to you, and help you reach your charitable giving goals?  A community foundation represents a wide variety of ideas and interests of individual donors like yourself, who have united in a common purpose – the improvement of their community both now and in perpetuity.  Currently, there are over 750 community foundations operating in urban and rural areas in the United States, all of them registered as 501(c)(3) grant-making public charities with the IRS.  Each one is a vehicle for people of all means to make a lasting difference in their community.

To assist you to make a lasting difference at home and/or beyond, we can provide you with flexible, efficient and tax-effective ways to ensure that your charitable giving achieves the greatest possible impact.  You can set up an individual fund either in your name, or in the name of a loved one, and have as little or as much control as you like in determining which charities benefit from your fund, how much, and how often.

If setting up an individual fund is not for you, we have a variety of existing funds set up to serve particular purposes in your community to which you can contribute.  Alternatively, we also have a general endowment fund, the income of which is distributed by our Board of Directors to address the needs and opportunities in the Farmington area community as they change over time.

In short, we help YOU to do what YOU want with YOUR money to benefit others.

Whether you have a clear idea of what your charitable giving needs are, or if you are only just starting to think about your legacy, we can help you.

We would love to talk to you more about how we can work together to help you make an impact FOREVER.
